I have observed, that almost every team has prepared its players very well for this world cup. But the FIFA was not able to prepare a qualified and competent team of referees and linesmen, who have been a disturbing factor in many wonderful matches.

One of the few good referee performances I have seen so far was that of Pierluigi Collina (Italy), who is said to be the best referee in the world.

If Italy beat Mexico and Croatia beat Ecuador, the group would finish with three teams on six points. Mexico need a draw to avoid the danger of becoming the first team to be eliminated at any World Cup finals after winning their first two matches.

Italy need to win, although a draw would be enough if Croatia don't win. Croatia must win by a margin of two goals to be certain of qualifying. Ecuador have faint hopes. They need to win by at least three goals and hope for an Italian defeat.

In the 2nd half Montella was offside, but in the 1st half Inzaghi was NOT offside. Yet another bad call by the linesman against Italy. Happy to see Italy go thru...i see a Brazil Italy final!

I don't agree with this. ONE ITalian was offside but surely not INzaghi it was Vieri, therefore it should have been passive off side and goal should have count.

Well finally my player DEL Piero did the job and I'm glad that Italy made it coz they really deserved at least an equalizer.
Sad to see that Croatia gave a bad performance against Ecuador.
