Workplace Politics

Re: Workplace Politics

If you have no ambitions and big plans for your life then stay out of it. Office politics is fact of life you need to play the game to get ahead.

Re: Workplace Politics

yea but there are coworkers that backbite or gossip and say nasty things about others they work with that may or may not be true, there’s one man like that, who i have to work with and he’s very close to the boss so if he messes up the boss almost always covers for him, since i work with this backbiter, i don’t what he’s saying about me. He definitely does not respect women, b/c he’s many times, called a senior(in age) coworker stupid to her face and another friend that works there a conceited b*tch behind her back during one of his backbiting sessions, and another female coworker some other derogatory name.

he’s also a bit prejudiced against muslims and just about anybody that’s different…:bummer: why oh why do i always come across such people

i just steer clear of him most of the time and try to get my work done and document and make known to my boss all the work i do just so that i don’t get unnecessarily blamed but i’m always afraid of what lies he’s telling about me behind my back to the boss or others, i hate gossip/backbiting/politics

You have take some action , collect some evidence and be pro-active about it if you want things to change, if you cannot do all this then change the job and hope that you end up working at a place of your liking.
