With them the seed of Wisdom
did I sow,
And with my own hand
labourd it to grow:
And this was all the
Harvest that I reap'd
"I came like water and like
Wind I go" !!

masha Allah! great series of posts. Brother Ahmad, even though the Christians use the term saints too–the nearest English equivalent of a wali Allah --which is what a real Sufi is–probably “saint”.
“Verily, upon the awliya there is no fear and nor do they grieve.”
A Sufi is a Muslim who has become so close to Allah that he becomes one of Allah’s beloveds–a wali of Allah

It is only done via strict adherence to shar’iat

One Sufi said that Shar’iat is the body and tariqat is the soul (you cannot have one without the other!)

Said Sayyidina Huzoor GHawth al Azam Shaykh Abd al Qadir al Jilani qaddassallahu sirruhu,
“My foot is on the necks of all the awliya!”
and this statement was accepted by all of the awliya who came after him thus cementing his glorious position as the Sultan of the Saints of Islam
