The other side of this sudden reaction could be that Akhtar is so humiliated with his actions and pissed off on the reception that Pakistani team has got in Isloo that he is now playing his CARDS. All the EX that supports him now will come forward to defend him. I am not surprised that his support is coming from idiots like Amir. 
Furthermore he has realised that he might not pass the fitness test that is coming in next two days, so he wants to disturb the team and its fighting spirit and unity.
