Attia , plz forgive me for my limited knowledge, but didnt Allah say dat men are superior to women in certain ways , but women have a higher status than men,
God didnt allow a woman to pray next to non mehrams , it doesnt imply to all men like ur husband , bro or father.
not to forget that women are allowed to pray in mosque , but in purdah , i-e separately

now the meaning of equality mmay vary from person to person , from woman to woman..
men and women are equal in opposit ways..
wat women can do , men cant and vice versa , both physically and mentally and this fact makes them equal i-e they are both human and offsprings of Adam and Eve.
