When i got committed, a male friend went around beating exactly that drum:phati:
NO, she didn't tell me. She stopped talking to me in b/w so i thought i must of done something or it's that time of the month. I just found out about this from one of her really close friends, how happy she is etc like i didn't mean anything to her.

You know if something like this ever happened to my son, I'd advice him to let it go, build your confidence, do even better in academia, go out more often and most importantly be the flame, not the moth.
You should extrapolate something positive out of this, and ignore the advice about getting drunk or getting a cheap thrill ride. Consider a career change, or re-education, get yourself back into school if you have to and be at a position where financial insecurity wont drive your loved one away from you. All the best.
Who knows what was in this girl's heart - whether she really was after the good life or not - that's between her and her conscience.
But a guy I know, came crying to all of his friends about being dumped by a girl he dated for two years. Said mean nasty things about her - similar to the OP to get the sympathy of his friends.
Turns out, she had ben waiting for him to commit for two years and he kept putting her off until he reached the next rung in his career. She got tired of waiting, left him, married someone else within 3 months and is happy.
Moral of the story - she was looking for something he couldn't or wouldn't give to her. It's best that the relationship was over and each could move on with their life - staying in a relationship that is/was toxic is just going to hurt the couple in the long term. So a little heartbreak in the short term is healthy for each to go forward in their lives.

It's not like i am broke. I made 60k last year and it would only better as i gain more experience. Time to move, it would probably take some time tho cuz i wasn't with her for sex, timepass etc
Is it possible that she left you for another reason? how are you so sure it's only because the guy she got a proposal from is rich?
Well whatever the reason is, I'm sorry to say but I guess she didn't love you enough to stay with you. And why would you want to be with someone who doesn't care about you? good riddance
