Nia, there are people out there who think like that though, people who believe women should not even be t.v. in any form cause it's inappropriate and 'unislamic'.
Personally, I've seen the female journalists on GEO/ARY and I don't think there is anything objectionable about the way they are dressed or present the news. They are covered, they normally have the dupatta covering their chest, although not necessary their heads.
If we are going to look at it from an Islamic point of view, 98% of the dramas/music videos currently aired shouldn't even be shown on Pakistani t.v. For a lot of people, it's bad enough that the country is obsessed with Indian dramas shown on Star ... have you seen how their actresses dress? Tauba, tauba. :p
