I thought so also, but i believe, as the quote in your reply showed, that Ghoncho, wanted an answer in relation to Islam. If anyone wants to continue this discussion from another perspective, i don't mind moving the thread.

Yet It is. Years ago i came across Women Circumcision in one of my humanities class. I was shocked too. I use to always argue with My professor when he would mention ISlam. Too After little research i found out in some part of Afica , There are agnorant (even)muslim who practice such .
YEs ITs Forbidden in Islam .
It must been bad cultural practice that still exist.
Dude there is nothing to be shamed off.
Its one of the the thing that must be understood. Grow up !! you have to face the dark side and strange things of life.
