Someone told me that wearing perfume that contains alcohol (which is pretty much everything) is wrong. What is the ruling on that?
that could be a moot point. alcohol is haram to the extent that if one drinks it, one becomes intoxicated. so intoxication, not alcohol in itself, is haram. in the perfumes, the intention is not to intoxicate. nor does it lead to any inebriation. I wonder why muslims are against using it in perfumes. perhaps we just take everything to the extreme, and this one is no exception.
