In that case she should go for Khula. Also if she is in Western world, she should file charges for domestic abuse/Violance. May Allah make it easy for her

I still think your question was based on lack of information on islam.

and rahi baat to your question; yes she can ask for khullah and there are conditions under which this procedure is done, and to start it off its done through the shariah council which is currently based in Luton i believe, and this council acts as your ie. tyhe woman in question, attorney and fights the case for you or tries to solve it at first keeping all islamic conditions under consideration.
ps. i currently know a situation under which this scenario which you mentioned is happening so if you wana know more you know where i am.

Duhh....................there is something called brain which could have told you to go and ask this question somewhere where your brain could tell you the answer would be.
These questions involve lifestyle of OTHER people and their future remind you.

i hope the couple finds reconciliation if possible.
otherwise, Islam's principles of dissolution of marriage or separation are not hindered in any way, if either one of the spouse is unhappy in the marriage.
blaming the victim, wife, is not fair.
leaving home like this as an uterly irresponsible man, is not at all acceptpable.
more needs to be found out by the elders and the true concerned people if at all this marriage is to be saved.

i wasnt actually meaning sweetu, am very sure that sweetu was in her right mind when she asked the question. :D
oh so if you are in your right mind then do tell me how are you supposed to increase islamic knowledge even when sweetu said that she lacks islamic knowledge. so without asking questions how are you able to incrrease it.
