Quite the opposite. Women should not be allowed to abuse their husbands, and men should not be allowed to abuse their wife, and there needs to be equitable punishment in this aspect. IMHO - when stuff like this happens, there needs to be counseling first and foremost before anyone gets thrown in jail (unless if the abuse is highly physically damaging).
