with Ramazan drawing closer...

Ramazan is just around the corner and this year I want to make sure that I take full advantage of this holy month, especially since I’ll be on holiday.

Any tips/suggestions?

I also have another query - what would be the best time of day to excercise? I’ve thought about this quite a bit and I’m still not sure coz they’re going to be 17 hours long here.

17 hrs!!
Oh my gosh.
We have like what, barely 10?

Oh well, the more the merrier cuz you will get more Sawab for the more hrs, like Allah SWT will take into account more of the harships your enduring.

I dunno how i’m going to handle Ramadhan this yr. With intention, meaning, & action & all. We’ll see.

Happy Ramadhan folks.

the best time to excercise is in the morning
the reason for this is that in the morning ur sugar levels are low so ur body burns fat directly to obtain the energy it needs rather than the carbohydrates....
about the other bit..
i dont know
just make full use of any spare time that u got and pray

Ramadhan Mubarak to every Muslim!!
May Allah bless us all in this Holy month Ameen.

Cat,U'r so lucky mashaAllah to have vacations in this month,U know i envy U ;) I always wish to have holidays in Ramadhan so that I could dedicate more of time to earn sawab.u know, sleep more in the mornings or afternoons and staying up late in the holy nights!!

I would suggest u to study Quran majeed, both Tilawat and tafseer. Reciting the whole Quran in this month is Sunnah. And i would also sugget u to make more zikr, specially in the last 10 days.Make a lots of du'a specially when staying up late in the nights,as du'a in Ramdhan is not rejected inshaAllah!! and dont forget me and all the Msulims in ur prayers :)

As for exercise,i'm really not sure,if there r long duration of fasting it becomes quite difficult to go on with a work out as we already burn calories during fast.In the normal days, morning is the best time but while fasting,i feel it becomes difficult! so may be late at night after Isha prayers when a couple of hours have passed after dinner,is a good time.

Best wishes.....:)

Be Original~!

Thanks so much for your tips! Kashish I shall definitely try and follow all the advice you gave me! And about the excercising, I was also thinking that after Iftaar would be the best time! :)

Ramzan Mubarak!

Kitty...17 hrs fast are long....for your exercise I would not recommend morning, cause then you would be near-dead by the time your roza is drawing to an end..late in the afternoon, again it depends on how strenuous your exercise routine is...like I would pass out if I try it with a roza in afternoon, and its not really advisable...

The ideal time I guess would be after iftar....but give at least one-hour break after you eat something...

Happy Ramadan...
