I think I have posted this before but here it goes again. If rice get a bit gooey/soft use a kitchen towel or better paper towel for dum. Cover rice with paper towels, put lid on and let it stay on dum. When the paper towels gets well damp, replace with new dry ones. It helps get rid of extra moisture from rice.
Then when rice is done take it out in a wide flat dish/tray whatever you have. Don’t stir it too much or it’ll break.

Another tip is to run it in microwave for a few minutes.

I do something like this with newspapers…two or three layers…works a treat!
