It is completely ridiculous to say that this is a new theoretical concept. It was predicted theoretically long ago that power could be transmitted through wireless means. I had read a book soon after my graduation that power could be theoretically transmitted via micro waves. How to realize it practically was a big question? The author of the book had also wrote that it would be great if this power could be supplied directly to homes through microwaves.
Of course using magnetic resonance principle to transfer power efficiently, is a great idea.
