I wouldn't mind, but they have to be out of high school before they join. Gupshup can take a toll on their education and they need to get in the habit of "study first" and once they get into that habit, they can surf on gupshup in spare time.

Even after high school it can take toll on their studies , you can see many examples of in college or university GS addicts here who confess about it themselves.
