I have many friends that are Indian or Indian origin... they are of different ethnic backgrounds and faiths ranging from Muslims, Hindu's Sikhs and Christians ....people who worship Sai Baba and Parsees
Ive been brought up with these people, they are the friends of my Parents as well as friends I have made over time...
I am very comfortable in their presence, I respect and trust them and they respect me...I would offer them the same respect that I would to any of my friends.
I know that if I had an problems they would come to my help and I to theirs
I find that in official parties or functions in "multi cultural" london people gravitate towards people they feel safe with....i watch people from Africa and the Caribbean come together and chat, and people from the Indian subcontinent come together and form little groups...Indians, Bengalis and pakistanis.
I do feel sad that the newwannabee has experienced something negative but I would like to point out that India contains nearly a gazzillion or so people and im sure not all are bad.
