If Jindal is picked vice president, McCain will lose. I don't think Jindal has suffcient backing to get there but then he has surprised people before!
I recall reading that in his first run for governor there was amactive 'defeat Jinda;' campaign mounted by the Pakistan associations. Katrina and the mistakes of Blanco pushed Jindal to a win the 2nd time. I think he should use this opportunity and really improve the problems of Lousiana and New Orleans instead of getting kicked up one more time.
