The Original and Oldest Language of Hind is Sansakrit.
My Father once told me that we're related to Prithvi Raj. He was a Hindu King....some people from his progeny became muslims.
Anyway, I was talking about Urdu.....I don't know why did they make Urdu Pakistan's national language.
D
King Akbar invent Urdu. Urdu is a mixture of lots of different languages, like arabic, sansakrit, persian and turkish.
Before Urdu, Persian(Farsi) was the official language of Indo-pak. I personally like Persian more than i like Urdu. Urdu itself does'nt have a proper History or what do you call it, Roots.
People from Dehli called ' Ahle Zuban' means they are masters in URdu.{not all of them today}
I don't know Persian but it is a beautiful language.
Can you tell me what is the language of following:
ghar firdaus varrooae zamin ast hamin ast, hamin ast, hamin ast. Meaning is If there is heaven on earth, its here, its here, its here.
** I agree with you that it is very difficult to trace a true account of Urdu history...that's it was said that yeh zubaan dilli ki galiyon main bani. *
* In my opinion People of Delhi are no longer Ahle Zuban.

Well choosing a national language is always a political issue. Hindi was adopted as national language of India because of a large Hindi speaking population. But people in South India didn't accept it..even today it is a bit sensitive issue in South. *

*To satisfy every state, Govt. introduced a three language formula...i.e. in a school there would be three languages Hindi, English and local language. *
