WI v India second test.

Re: WI v India second test.

Well in that case lets hope WI with the help of weather and Sehwags bowling draws the series. :D

Whenever India is in a good position during a match you start mourning the fact that how well Indian team has transformed and why they are playing better than Pakistan. But as soon as they fail to win that particular game, you take a 360 degree twist.

Re: WI v India second test.

I never said they are playing better than Pakistan. :D

Re: WI v India second test.

why is it a shame. did you not see the bowling attack the team is playing with. also did you not see that 80 overs just went to hell. given lara did play very well and all kudos to him, india still managed to pick 7 wkts which i would say is great considering kumble and munaf are the BEST bowlers in the team. both teams played well for whatever was left on the last day but point is that in both tests windies have just been trying to save the test and not win it. they succeeded on the first but i would say very luck to draw the second.
bottom line kick vrv out. he is just not test material. i would say give sir agarkar a chance. also maybe bhajji would be a good choice

Re: WI v India second test.

Its a shame because Windies are ranked 8th both in ODI and Test ranking. Simply the most pathetic side in the World right now. They managed to beat India in ODI and survived defeat in 2 tests when it was obvious.

Re: WI v India second test.

first of all my reply to the quote was implied for this game because the person clearly pointed out that it is a shame that india lost this. all i am trying to say is that its not a shame because i thought india did faily well to pick up 7 wkts in one day considering the bowling attack is pathetic plus a whole day was wasted away.
now comming back to what your saying. why was it so obvious. because of media hype? lets face it, india has been on a high horse since it has start winning half of them have been at home. please dont read into the ranking too much there because to tell you the truth windies is quite capable of beating almost (maybe not aus) all teams on home turf. as a matter of fact any team is. personally i did not think india deserved that high a rank as what it had got after beating lanka and england and that is dispelled clearly after the odi loss. so please dont make it sound like oh india is all that and windies is nothing. both teams are still young learning.

Re: WI v India second test.

Well I was proven wrong. That's more the fault of lack luster Indian bowling than Lara. I mean come on, did Lara bat from both ends? Rain or no rain, at 52-3, with a 100 overs to go on a last day pitch, most sides would back themselves for a win, especially against the likes of West Indies.

India really needs to sort out its bowling problems if they plan on winning any test matches soon. Or, they could opt for the field first strategy, so that in the final innings, at least they have a chance of victory through their batting line up.

Re: WI v India second test.

^ Giving Sehwag 30 overs in such cirumstances was really bad planning.

Re: WI v India second test.

As indicated by other, India is much better than Windies. Gayle really was the main threat who was removed on 3rd day, 4th day loss was a blow to India's chances I agree but still FULL day of play on 5th day was enough to remove rest of Windies batsmen... Lara can hold only one end and thats what he did till last few overs (13?), it was Dravid's failure to utilise his resources properly as also indicated by Ehsan bhai.
