You ask ‘why’ - it must be predetermined that you will ask that question, if that is you have felt it worthwhile to ask that question. Otherwise “why would you ask why?” if you didn’t feel you could possibly get an answer?

Since you felt it worthwhile to ask then you feel there is a valid answer, why you feel there is a valid answer is itself rooted in your initial question why we exist. So the reason why we exist is to ask the question why we exist - then we can find out and become “enlightened” …

We ask questions and wait for an answer that appeals to our bias.
