The pt of doing wadu is not really to be clean (think about what options you have there is no water and u can do wadu with dirt)

Wadu is more a ritual act for you to prepare to go to god, praise him and pray thus you should be clean and ready.

Also the rituals of namaaz and wadu are not in the quran they are from sunnah

but still wats the point of it ?
