i'm the middle one of 3 sisters and yes definatly treated differently to the other 2.

oldest kid - is first child so does everything first and all the excitement is there with them.

Middle kid - second child so not so special when u pass drving test, graduate etc cos its done before.

young kid - baby of the family so spoilt and last one to do everything so everyone is excited about them.

I think middle-child syndrome does exist and parents do treat the middle child differently but not intentionally-

If i look at our baby photos - there are loads of my older and younger sister - very little of me.

the middle ones are most loving , most caring and enthusiastic. they learn to live with both kinds , the bossy ones and the careless ones taking all the attention . they know how to obey their parents :smiley:
