why pakistanis are so

Re: why pakistanis are so

Actually those who think Pakistanis are bad have not lived ‘long enough’ with Non-Pakistanis or “close enough” to see what people of other nations might be doing in their usual lives.

All sort of social, cultural and behavioral problems can be found in many many nations and races.

Backbiting, competing for jobs, cursing each other for little reason and taking advantage is human trait shared by every nation.

Jealous women belong to every nation and lazy bum and criminal men are ubiquitous.

**Pakistanis are not so different from any other nations. Some of them are good, some bad or evil and some great!
**
Those who claim to know other nations may not even know the languages like Turkish, Italian, Arabic and Chinese.

But yeah claiming does not cost anything!!!

Re: why pakistanis are so

okay, if you say so.
nothing wrong, just biases.

Re: why pakistanis are so

It is Primarily because the western people look down upon us.
By us, I mean Asians in general. They have some valid and invalid reasons.

Valid Reasons :

(1) Large number of Immigrants from Asia. (India, Pakistan, China)
(2) We generally steal the Jobs and work at half the labor rate.
(3) Most of us would be happy to clean their toilets but not do a darn thing for our Own Country.

Invalid Reasons :

(1) We are the next big thing, and it is obvious that they’re Jealous.
(2) We are more intelligent than them.
(3) We look better..

The only issue I have is that WHY we people choose to move to America, Australia, New Zealand and wait on tables or clean toilets rather than living in our own country and working for our own prosperity.. ??? Why are we too materialistic? Why do we put Money ahead of our Nation’s Pride..?

G’day**

Re: why pakistanis are so

Its because we pakistni dont love respect (our country) people of our country. We say bad things and make fun out of ourself, we cheat, hardly follow rules, do all the bad things without having any second thought.

Once an American (gorra) told this joke to me after he came to know i was pakistani.

“In hell there were wells (کنواں) of fire and outside those wells were angels standing guard to throw those back inside the well whom were able to climb up to get out. But there was this one well where there were no guards. Someone asked why that well has no guards. Upon this he was told in that well all those whom are receiving punishment are pakistani’s and they are holding each other legs to make sure no one gets out of it.”

I once also received this forward msg

Once a man from other country went to Pakistan, on his return back he was asked about pakistani. He replayed he was not able to find a single Pakistani in Pakistan. He met Punjabi, Sindhi, Baluchi, pathans,

The day we will start loving and respecting our people and country we will get respect from other countries too. This is not about politics or religion, its all about loving your land.

Re: why pakistanis are so

It’s not because we have cold blooded killers among us that we are hated, they are in every society. It’s because our cold blooded killers are praised and supported by people for whatever reason that suits us.

Re: why pakistanis are so

Or maybe it’s because of the fact that the minority who supports such people gets way too much attention in the media. Meanwhile everyone who condems it is ignored.

Re: why pakistanis are so

Wow I really want to know more. Please elaborate on how we’re a bunch of dogs and we deserve to be treated horribly. That also includes you, I’m assuming.

Re: why pakistanis are so

I don’t think it’s only for money. Sure, financial stability absolutely has something to do with it, but consider this. If people were able to stay in Pakistan/ India/ etc, and have the same lives they would in a safer, less polluted, less corrupt, and more comfortable environment, you’d think they’d stay, right?

Truth of the matter is, most of the people who leave have other people to support. Either they take their families with them and do what they can while they can, and hopefully, make their way to the top. Not everyone is at the top of the food chain. You need to make your way up there. If that means washing dishes or bussing table while you do what you need to to increase your opportunities, then let them live.

They’re not on the streets as beggars, like others have made a living out of in our own countries.

Leaving your country to better your and your families life has nothing to do with National Pride. I haven’t lived in Pakistan for more than a few months since we left, but that doesn’t mean I’m any less Pakistani than anyone living there. Or that I love my country any less than someone who grew up there. But that’s just me.

Re: why pakistanis are so

I missed this :D.

Working tables, cleaning toilets is better than dealing drugs, taking bribes or taking something you have no right to.
And that’s just something you do along the way. It’s not like people spend their whole lives doing this. Unless they have no skill at all.

What Pakistan fails to give you is mental peace. It’s not just the poverty that bothers me(I can’t talk about anyone else). The corruption, how you can never get things done without greasing a few palms is what annoys me. The injustice is what annoys me. The state telling me what to believe(religion or lack of it) unless I want to get discriminated against or worse killed isn’t great either.

Working for our own prosperity, how do you suppose I do that, when they country fails to give me the one essential thing I need to function, mental peace. You guys go out and elect stupid Fs like Zardari using your numbers and then I’m expected to stay here and fix things. Hah.

Nation’s pride? What do have to be proud of? We’re an agricultural country that has people going hungry. Wow, I’m so freakin proud. That’s just one thing. Electricity, Natural Gas, water. We just sat on our Royal arses all these years, never thinking all this would run out one day. Never developing anything. Bravo.

That does include me ofcourse. U don’t have to waste ur delicate energies assuming on the matter any further.

And have u been living under a rock of some sorts to ask me something as that?

Re: why pakistanis are so

Nothing like proving your own point :vivo:

Re: why pakistanis are so

Our biggest problem has been our callous attitude towards education. The state education system is broken. First it’s not big enough to educate everyone. Second, the government schools are structured so they create a underclass. They’re Urdu medium, whereas the higher education is all English medium. Is that fair? Kids spending 12 years of their lives studying hard, working their ass off. And they get beaten at universities by average or below average kids from English medium schools. They were destined for failure. How is that fair? Studying is a lot easier when you actually understand what you’re reading.

Something needs to be done about this.

Re: why pakistanis are so

It’s easy to ask the university grads to stay back. But try putting yourself in their shoes. All the books they read, everything they learnt at school makes no sense when they step out in the real world. The look on my face when I’m asked for “chai pani” never gets old. Some people just can’t live with everything that’s wrong. The ones with options leave. Others live here hoping for a way out.

What has the Government done to make life easier for the citizens in general. The corruption’s still there. The feudals are still out there boozing and killing people without any consequences.

Reading about other places that have actual laws makes you hate this place more. If only internet weren’t invented or I didn’t know how to read. But then I’d be useless. Haha. Ironic. Being oblivious to everything is the only way for one to be content over here. And no one needs someone who doesn’t no shyte.

Re: why pakistanis are so

Taking the bus to work is no fun either. I guess it’s more demeaning than cleaning a toilet. At least you don’t have people piling on top of you while you’re scrubbing poop off that toilet bowl. People piling on top of you stepping all over you, messing up your perfectly ironed clothes. Doesn’t make me feel proud at all. And the ceiling height on these buses. Were they made for midgets. Bending my neck this much, I think I’ll pop a vertebrae someday.
And I’m not even tall. Huh. Can’t imagine how my 6’4" friend takes the bus. Pfft.

Everything around you screams, “We don’t want you, we don’t need you.”

Re: why pakistanis are so

:hehe:

No, I’ve been living in a place where Alhumdulillah I didn’t even have to demand any respect, I was commanded the respect. This is what makes it a civilized society. We have had a problem with some of the Polish community here ever since Poland joined the EU. They’ve set up brothels around the country, they’re bringing in drugs, there are organised crime gangs etc. But then I meet tens of other polish workers around town who’re busting their bottoms to earn an honest living. Now I understand how one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch but by that token everyone deserves to be hated because there are bad apples in every community. That’s where education comes in, I would think. Only the ignorant will justify hatred for others. I have yet to hear a Polish person say yeah we’re all thugs and we deserve to be hated. I feel sorry for someone who feels this way about himself, there’s just no self-respect, is there!

Re: why pakistanis are so

That’s very heartfelt. No sarcasm intended there.
I wish this would be said in other countries as well. Its not necessary to travel to know the extent of one’s self pity and image. Its what it is. Hell even the middle east where once majority of Pakistanis held prestigious positions… have been overtaken by Indians. And i would be the last one to deny this fact, you don’t see some other ethnic group lamented in the news, normally, its us. And usually, its us again.

Re: why pakistanis are so

The middle easterners discriminate against Asians in general. You get paid more if you’re a westerner. That doesn’t mean Asians should start feeling inferior just because the arabs are too thick-headed. Again, that’s just plain ignorance and I’m not going to let a jahil decide if I deserve any respect or not. If a Pakistani is in the news for the wrong reasons then why should I be apologetic? You know the Mexicans play a huge role in drug (and human) trafficking in the US because that’s just the easiest smuggling route for them. Similarly, criminals in Asia find it much easier to expand their operations in the middle east than elsewhere hence the bad rep. And it’s not just Pakistanis, I think there are currently 6 or more nationalities that are banned for visas in Kuwait.

Re: why pakistanis are so

Out of like 240 or so declared states on earth… 6 or so nationalities is a HUGE count don’t ya think?

Pakistan in its current state of affairs, is like a child muddled in his poo without his diaper. We are a long way down from what we used to be back in 60’s and 70’s and 80’s. This is perhaps where the critical criticism lies.

When u talk about Asians, Indians are kind of Asians aren’t they? Plus the point is not some one else’s thickness, but our collective downfall as a nation. Come and stay in Pak for a few years, i guess you’ll know what I mean.

Re: why pakistanis are so

The image problem is clearly an issue on a national level. Our government is corrupt, our intelligence agencies bomb embassies, high levels of sectarian violence etc

All the suicide bombings that take place in Pakistan. This is what everyone knows as the news dictate the issues.

We have ourselves to blame first. Before pointing fingers one should keep his own house in order.

Re: why pakistanis are so

Umm yes except India is not the one having to deal with the talibans right now. Pakistani visas were banned because of the security situation not because the people are a bunch of dogs who don’t deserve any respect or kindness. Aapko aisa sochna hai tau sochiye apne baray mein, we can agree to disagree.
