they get influenced by the drama's on sitara plus.
ya and thats so unfortunate :( the amount of make-up used in our dramas now is horrendous and scary just like the star plus dramas....lol!

They are rubbish because they are confused whether to go the Indian way or stick to the Pakistani way...because of which they are losing the grip.

ahem and what education system do u belong to?? creativeness has nothing to do with what degree you have...talent on-screen is in-born, either u have it or u don't.the ppl from the golden era of 80's tv were product of the same 'system', its all about talent.

actually they are product of a lousy audiences at home who watch all the crap that comes their way through indian channels. so if crappy pakistani audiences want crappy rubbish like indian dramas then they'll get wht they want. nothing wrong with that you know. its all about supply and demand.

I find that a lot of young actors can't act at all. Well why would they? They are chosen because they are related to the producer or director. Also, dialog never matches up to the mouth movement, there is always a lag. And outdoor shots are the worst, you can hear the wind blowing.

exactly!! ppl keep complaining about these indian-style soaps yet watch them, why else would they have so much info about them. as i said before if ppl stop watching this rubbish, channels will lose viewership and revenue, so they will stop making them!! star plus was the no.1 watched channel by the masses a few yrs back and so our local channels figured that this is what the audience wants to watch and here we are. this stupid soap on geo 'tere pehlo mein' has been going on for yrs and ppl are still following it and loving it, check out its thread on this forum, nah story hai, nah kuch...bus its producers want to keep it going because they are making money off it.

many dramas are good too...but because of surfing,people miss them as there are so many channels....

u guys are watching the wrong dramas, go in the thread 'the best pakistani drama' and you'll find lots of good options. acha bura kaam har jaga hota hai, iss leiye we are given a choice, simply don't watch these bad productions and they will stop making them. aaj kal ary has good options like 'sarkar sahib' 'gulzar classics' 'yeh zindagi toh woh nahi' no mirch masala in these, just solid storyline with outstanding acting and directing!!
whether the dramaz are good of bad, they are on-aired on their respective channels for ages.
you said acha bura kaam her jagha hota hai...the thing is pakistani media should look and consider its cultural values as well.
the time is running very fast, and the strategy of holding the viewers to one channel is punch of button away. and cuz of this reason Pakistani media is implying corporate irrationalization by provoking lust, greed instead of chastity, moralities and our cultural virtues.
the quantity, time duration of good drama is very low so their presence is serving more as a satisfying pleasure than a proactive force of Renaissance!

my thoughts exactly...
whatever we remember of the dramas in the 80s and 90s - i.e. the quality of work... the alignment with our culture... etc. was all because the mass viewership in the country didn't have access to cable with the multitude of Indian channels and soaps. With the proliferation of these channels in every household and people watching these soaps religiously, the demand for these kinda dramas has spawned all channels to up their production... giving rise to every nathu khaira getting a chance to act (more demand than supply of qualified actors) and aiwaieeN kisam ke script writers (again, more demand than supply). The end result is a shoddy product... and people still keep watching Indian shows - hence reinforcing the trend which continues.
