As for nude contests - there is no need to be unclothed to examine child-bearing hips. But, yes, men on average do find women with child-bearing hips more attractive than those without.

Just thought I'd share my opinion.
This beauty pageant business is totally haram according to Islam. Islam does not want women to be paraded around millions of people as show pieces. There's no dignity in that. I am aware that there are tons of pretty Pakistani models some of would probably enter these beauty pageants. BUT according to Islam, modelling is haram as well.
Personally, I see little dignity and respect for any woman in this business.
Beauty Pagents are definately Haram.
Every nation is going to have it's good and bad apples, you cannot make judgements based purely on a select few.
Most of Pakistan is Muslim, and as muslims I don't think the 'nation' would let women be paraded in front of perverted men like that.
Ganesh/Astrosfan. Why don't you carry out a survey on the reasons why Men watch Miss world and the reasons that women do... i'm sure we all know what the results would be.
Astrosfan - Do you have any medical facts to back up your statement about 'child bearing hips'. I don't think that term exists in the medical world.
