Why is the Muslim population in the World propagandized as a threat?

Re: Why is the Muslim population in the World propagandized as a threat?

Primary reason is that Muslim states own vast reserves of oil and in an energy starved world there is no asset more precious than oil. In one of his speeches before the congressional elections, Bush answered a reporter, "Terrorists could've used Iraqi oil as an economic weapon against US". It was good to see that Bush is finally coming out of his shell of hypocrisy and admits the fact that US invaded Iraq for oil.

Secondly, the colonial powers don't believe in "co-operation for existence" they believe in "competition for existence". Until 1991 they had a competition in the form of Soviet Union but after it's demise, the conservative belligerent agenda lost it's appeal in the masses so they thought of creating another competition in the form of "War on Terror". In one of my essay in my journal titled "Terrorism vs. Crime" I've proved that terrorism is only responsible for the death of 4000 US citizens, it is a very small number then why the whole world has gone berserk over this issue? The reason is that neo-conservatives want to win back their vote bank by manufacturing this artificial threat.
