Compared with the kind f ‘Islamophobia’ or Islam-hate cases I have dealt with online, Bobby1 is like a school going kid jumping up & down in protest as if his parents promised to let him take an off from the school to go to the zoo or partying at friends but still sent him to school. A furious child throwing tantrums that now he would not eat or complete school work or study for exams for being ‘betrayed’.
Every now & then I have too noticed the indian media’s caredully crafted toxic news material about Pakistan & islam & I do point out those posts to him.
To be honest, I wouldn’t expect anything better from a misguided person. Still, to call his posts attempts to damage Islam’s or pakistan’s reputation is not correct because I have seen people doing quite worse things to do that. Quite worse… absolutely cruel that includes lies, white lies. Comparatively his posts are nothing, not twisted. You can easily respond with correct answers. But when too many lies adjoined together with creativity to tell a perfect hateful but a story that sounds believable to masses is what the anti-islam media outlets do 24/7. You have seen nothing.
I do see that he is strongly influenced by the opinions of islam haters in his social environment. & he must be told facts so atleast some of his and his islam hating friends misconceptions could be subsided.
I also suggested him to research more before blindly taking everything as a fact. Hope he does now. But if you respond with same hate then I see you both as two sides of the same coin.
Take his posts as challenges. Why feel insecure ? Everyone is free to hold an opinion. Give your facts. The wise ones will choose wisdom. If they don’t, their loss.
