india dismantled the existing feudal system via land reform acts - not a big surprise from the socialist leaning congress of nehru. pakistan was formed and run by the party of rich feudal landlords. india’s politicians are vile and corrupt but usually not from rich families. pakistan’s politicians are from the 0.1% richest elite of the country. but none of this is the real reason.

pakistani army’s source of power is the hate and fear of india and hindus. as long as this is a driving force for pakistanis, they will be very relevant. even commando musharraf got 10 years to screw around thanks to kargil spinnage.
