I tend to agree with you...but then again...this country is full of politics.
I am on records to have raised this matter to PTV's MD at the convention centre a day before the ceremony.....when they came for my sign off on Dad's LTAW paper. Hasina was sitting with Qavi nearby...and I was quite blatant that Shoaib Mansoor said "Yaar...woh qareen he beitheen hein..khayal karo" and I said "mujhay kici ki parwah nahin hai...tumm jaantay ho mein kitna straightforward person houn...I care two hoots if anybody minds!"...
The fact behind is that morons like Khawaja Najmul Hasan and Tariq Saeed...usually project their likes and do not care....
Kahan takk suneingi...kahan takk sunaoun.....I am an ocean on PTV facts and figures and now I'll ensure she gets the LTAW next year.. though it should have been this year......as its from 43rd anniversary that PTV has started out with LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS.....
Another point which, I thought, went against Hasina was her proximity with RANA (Sherwani) SHAIKH, the former MD-PTV and now at GEO as a senior director. She is fond of Hasina and PTV appears to be at odds with her..........typical disdain of society.

PTV is at odds with hasina apa? howcome PTV has forgotten her immense contributions. It can never repay her even if it sells itself. She was one of those who laid down the foundation of pakistan television. have they forgotten that????
But uncle I didn't understand one thing , did you express your annoyance to the authorities? I think these are the times when artists should come together as a community and protest together. there should have been more people like you who don't give a damn and speak the truth.
on a second thought, she doesn't need any LTAWs . Her name is always going to appear among the greatest writers of pakistan irrespective of all these dirty politics. She has been declared a winner ,by not two or three scheming people, but millions of people who speak urdu language.Infact giving her the LTAW will give these awards some credibility and respect.She's a winner anyway.
(offtopic: Is Rana Sheikh the same person who directed 'Parosi'? I watched this drama recently and loved it.)
