Talks of withdrawal are a political ploy. America will not withdraw till Iraq is stable. But you can't be serious of a civil war. It won't just be Iraqis then. It will be everybody in the region and it will destabilize further than any occupying force.

No man, trust me, I've been there and you haven't. The media will give you a story but not the whole story. The comparison to Vietnam is bogus. We were not rebuilding in Vietnam, we are in Iraq. It's uncertainties can be fixed and there is an end. It is up to Iraqis to make it a good end or a bloody end. I am confident they will make it a good end, just gotta get the Sunnis on board, and make sure the Shias and Kurds don't get greedy with power.

One thing I know is that iraq is a bloody place and I won't say majority but a lot of iraqis I know are real emotional nutheads!
And I don't think it is made up that the iraqis (even shias) don't like US occupation!

In Pakistan you can experience all kinds of racism, I personally have met a few powerful clergy people - who claim that killing one shi'ite youth would guarantee you heaven.
These same a**holes actually said that "Dont read and inquire, it will make you an aethiest or worse a shi'ite moslem"
I wanted to inquire about the quality of dope they smoked, but left it to the winds

Well I agree on the emotional nuthead part. And yes they don't like occupation, nobody does, but you know what's funny? They need us and they know it. If they didn't need us to police the area, then they wouldn't come to us when they need help.
