Why should Pakistanis try to sound more like Brtis? Every english speaking nation has its own accent, why should Pak be any different...
There is no "real" English accent, just diversity of MANY english accents.

and by the way why the hell should we teach accented english in PAKISTANI english schools when the kids will need the local language more than english anyway. ppl in PAKISTAN shouldn't feel more comfortable talking in english than in their local language, or else something is messed up. as far as PROPER english is concerned, that is already being taught (grammar, written etc.)

^ lol there are some others char less and gournoment. This i attribute to english written in urdu, as john can be read jaan in urdu script.
