That’s because in Pakistan, sarees are mostly worn on formal occasions like weddings. You’ll hardly see Pakistanis wearing sarees as commonly as shalwar kameez.
I’m all for abaya, seems much much much easier than having to throw out your entire wardrobe or “halalofying” it… (but there’s nothing wrong with a “hijabi friendly” wardrobe either).
