Lololl Are we talking about the Bible? "first sin"? Adam and Eve both ate the fruit, both bore the blame. It even says in the Qur'an that it was all planned by Allah anyways, everything is already written.
The whole thing about women being lowly and beneath man is a load of rubbish. Men were made for certain purposes and women for other purposes. Men are physically stronger, they must provide for their families. Women are stronger on the inside and must take care of her family. It's just that muslim women don't really have places to go learn about Islam, and men seem to only want to teach whatever benefits them. You know th kind of people I'm talking about-the men who don't want women to gain knowledge, go to uni, have rights etc etc.
You just need to go to a decent imam.
And also, the thing about covering yourself, think of it as a form of jihaad, it's your own personal sacrifice that your doing for the sake of pleasing your Rabb. Modesty is a good thing. I've always covered myself up, covering my head was the hard part, but I do it now.

And that you would rather be running around like an untamed savage, - be it not for the great generosity of the Male, who hesitate-not in telling us the right and proper path :) (throwing in a few insults because they couldn't afford the goodie bags).

Being made from a rib does not make a person faulty in character. Where are we from? An egg and sperm. I wonder what kind of character that makes us?
And Adam (as) was made from sand or earth. I guess this pride that men have is a Satanic trait, since he thought he was better than Adam (as) and men think they are better than women.
It seems some people have the Qur'an and the Bible mixed up, remember there were additions to the Bible made by men.
Also, it's not just muslim men that do this, plenty of other cultures have this problem, I'm not just talking about asians, white guys can be that way too. Even white women, (you'd be surprised what kind of people I have to talk to at a stupid part-time job) Don't blame the religion.
Muslim men, the proper ones I'm talking about, are the kind of men we should talk to. There's an Imam my dad is good friends with and he is great. He's got knowledge of Islam, he's been to uni, he works and he does all the Imam duties at the mosque. He also takes care of his wife- i.e. halfing the housework, taking care of the kids, allowing her to do what she wants like going to college etc.
because those men have misinterpreted islam, and have not been enlightened enough to fix the error of their ways. the religion itself is not faulty, the people who follow are.
Yeah Yeah Yeah. Google google goole. Take it as you like, it is a viewpoint out there. I don’t understand enough arabic to know if this argument stands true or not, but it makes more sense than women being made from the ribs of men, in the physical sense.
