imho, many muslims are more reluctant to accept new lifestyles, and give less importance to education, and this isn't doing them much good when it comes to jobs.
from my high school classmates (most of us were small-town middle class kids), most of the muslims got married early - the boys as soon as they had jobs, and the girls as soon as they were in college. some of the girls dont have a college degree, but have multiple kids already, almost none of them work. i was trying to update our batch's address list, and many of these kids have just faded away while the rest of us are building our relatively new professional careers.
