Its a norm, women usually stare because of three very close-related reasons.
*They admire you and appreciating you. A general phenomena.
*They like the way you are, or dressed, and they are picturing themselves as how they will look with this makeup, hairstyle or dress.
*They like your style/beauty etc, but they are admiring but are exteremly jeolous.

Baji, I was not talking about you, I am saying generally these are the reasons behind staring. If beauty and style is not valid in a case, then there must be something in that person that pulls the attention of others. Unless one is living in Brooklyn and stared by Kalli gang girls.

yeah desi girls/women do that a lot....dont kno the reason.....im always too busy doin or thinkin about something so i never stare at people.....but whenever i find someone starin at me i jus smile and look away.....who knows/cares wats goin on in their minds....just do what you gotta do....

I don't really care if a girl/women is staring at me, but if it's a guy, then that's annoying and very rude. Nah I don't stare at people - amma said it's not nice. :(

I wish I knew. I’ve never spoken to her except she told me to watch her stuff once when she had to step out of where we were. I did, following that I tried to smile to just acknowledge each other but she just gives me that weird look. And no, I didn’t steal anything lol.

I’ve never been formally introduced to her bf, he’s just another person in class. We exchanged “hey, whats up?” and a a few comments about schedules et al but nothing personal. I don’t even know his name.

I find it really amusing. Women stare at other women in the most inappropriate ways. And they do it so much more shamelessly; without caring if others are watching them looking at other. This is not restricted to desis. All women do it from time to time. And the amount of details they pick up in those observations is mind-boggling.

i sometimes end up staring
but its only cus i find the other girls dressed attractively.. i admire the way they are dressed, or maybe the way they’ve done their hair and then i think im going to do my hair just like that tomorrow or go and get the exact same outfit.. or maybe i can find something in my cupboard which looks similar.. and then sometimes i think “wow shes so pretty… i can hook her up with so and so”
and the by the time im done thinking…i realise ive been staring at the poor women… then i just smile and i get a smile back
i bet sometimes the women even thinks im interested… thank goodness i wear a wedding ring

i was talking about pak yesterday and there i noticed that girls give you such weird looks and most of da time dirty looks
they're jealous and they love staring at others
when we went inside a shop and we talked in french between us cousins people there used to look in such a weird and bad way
anyway i gave dirty looks to people like that aswel

When someone is staring at me, I pull out a little mirror, do a nose check, a teeth check, breath check, BO check. Then if everything's ok. I just ignore it. It's not my problem.
