QUALITY, for one, in everything- material, kaam, finishing, tailoring. and the design. you pay for their eye for colour, their design sense, their skill in putting pieces together you might not necessarily have thought would work, etc.
same reasons why you would pay $400 for a michael kors purse instead of paying $20 for one at target.

It all depends on what you think is more important. For some its purse. For some its shoes. For some its jewelry. For some its their clothes.

People pay for the quality that usually stands behind the name. If these designer dresses were of the same caliber as non-designer, people like Bunto Kazmi would have been put out of business a long time ago.
