Is there a Muslim country that is almost 100% educated, has a majority middle class, has a democratic leadership and is highly industrialized? The ones that are closer to this are more open and tolerant.

agreed, and that is why that we need to look and move beyond our pseudo-religious political groups vying for power and develop the country, rest will fall into place...

You're going to have to sell that to some poor, downtrodden, poverty-stricken, illiterate member of the masses. I happen to believe that Life (not death) is the beginning and that I was blessed with that life to do all that I possibly can in improving my own circumstances and the circumstances of others to make that life all that a greater power than me deemed fit and appropriate to bless me with. Anything less is an affront to man and God.

If there is more after death, it is just another blessing that will be bestowed upon me. But it does not give me an excuse to waste this blessing of life.

saying that's easier said than done is the understatement of a lifetime., religious fundamentalism in underdeveloped countries won't be waning anytime soon.

Ok.

I'm gona hollar a bit.

Reason is because religion is a guidence in life.

Morals and Values.

Religion isn't an invite to disregard your neighbors.

Religion is often a stabilizing force in ones life.

Not an invitation to blow up somebody.

Religion is NOT at the expense of others.

Not an opiate.

It's a comfort.

As God is a comfort.

^i agree with the avgamericangirl.
this is really the meaning and purpose of god, to instill some sort of purpose n morals n values in life. whenu have some one to beleive that he will take care of u at all times u get a sense of purpose.when u knou that there is one omipotent n omni present u will not dare to think evil.
that mentality when it sets in u the very next moment religion n god doesnt matter to u.
