just read the article. It doesn’t make sense to me. Its almost like they are saying that in such couples the attractive women deliberately go out to look for less attractive men so they can have the upper hand 
Actually I do know of a girl who was actively seeking a below average looking guy but the other requirement was that he should be well above par financially 
the study may apply to a select few but for the masses I don’t think it holds.
Miicha me thinks ur sis is a shallow gal. Why i say that is because I, several times, have found people attractive based on their personalities alone. This once us girls happened to meet one of our teacher’s husband, he was no glamourous model look-alike, but there wasn’t a single girl amongst us who wasn’t in awe of him just because of the way he carried himself and spoke etc. its not always about having the perfect face.
Plus in ur sisters case it could also be argued that anyone who needs to go on and on about how good they look actually have a low self-esteem and are just trying to convince themselves that they aren’t all that bad. When you say something enough number of times you and every one around you eventually starts believing it, hehe. If you really do look good you don;t need to say it yourself, there are plenty others who will do it for you
