i had a similar discussion with somebody(a non believer) I know and she replied that "everything is by the virtue of /nature/ "..they mainly give credit to nature…evolution..its hard for them to have faith in somebody whom you can’t see, feel or touch & specially in the concept of life after death.. she also asked that if there really was God, than why would there be so much misery in the world. Why would he want his ppl to die!! and so on…
i ended the discussion(cause’ it never seemed to end) saying that SUPPOSE that you are right…fine we are just going to embrace death and that ts…finish..kaput.. done..BUT what if there really was God! and there would be a day for judgement. Soo you are the one who is living at risk!

Heart_breat: I had a discission with someone (non-believer) and had the same results…That is exactly why I opened this thread…
I understand: If one doesn’t believe than that person doesn’t believe…it is simple as that…but just was curious about their reasoning

Exactly my point about why most “believers” today believe in a God. Fear of the unknown, the need to be on good terms with the unknown, lest we encounter a judging entity in there; and not because there is any real proof of the existance of a God.

hmm these believers ur talking about don’t believe in God because of the reasoning i mentioned…they believe in God cause’ they know he exists..

I dont see any reason why someone who believes in god is any worse then or better of then someone who doesn’t. My belief is that if you r generally a good person, your fine. My motto, you have your god,I have mine, lets just get some lunch and call it a day.
