Whom do you feel has contributed to society the most?

Asalamo-alyaikum

We must not look at Islam as 1400 years old syllabus. With that logic, one can easily conclude that Allah swt revealed a deen that was not compatible for all times...thus undermining Allah swt.

And I'm sure that is not what you're trying to say?

We must remember that Islam is for all times, and the absence of Islam in implementation in everyday affairs is the reason why the world is in such a chaos.

If we just stop to think and ponder upon why we give so much credibility to a ideology (western way of life, capitalism) that is in direct shirk with Allah swt, we wouldn't do it. Our thinking is totally based on benefit, rather than how to please the Creator.

That does not mean that one closes themselves in the mosque, like some people think. Islam is something that Allah swt revealed so we can make it the basis of all of our actions, not just prayer, reading qur'an, hajj, fasting.....

So in conclusion, I'd like to ask you to think before you respond to this post.

thanks :)

hmmmmm thats not an easy question.

i would say that everyone contributes in their own way. most well known person i can think of is mohammad ali jinnah for pakistan. regardless of the issue of his intentions.

Learn to love yourself, then learn to love one-another

Now why the hell did Islam come in here? If you idiots ever read history you would see that Quaid e Azam wanted a secular nation as an admirer and follower of Mustafa Kemal. The book Jinnah of Pakistan by Stanley Wolpert has been banned in Pakistan since Zia's era because it had solid evidence and quoted that Jinnah wanted a secular state. The government doesn't want the people of Pakistan what Jinnah really wanted so they banned the book. It's a conspiracy.

This is but natural. However much Jinnah admired Kemal Pasha and was wine-drinking man, the common Muslim supported Pakistan as a religious movement. "Pakistan ka matlab kiya, la ilah illillah" was the slogan. Once these forces of fundamentalism were awakened, taken root and finally sucessful in getting Pakistan, it is difficult to tell the followers "Oh! That was not religious demand. Let us be secular." Very naturally, a nation founded in name of Islam became more and more theocratic. All other things were hair-splitting for Muslims.
