Both sides are using there best spin doctors to spread there agenda. and it results in certain stories that get massive attention on blogs, party media etc. like it or not there are many anti war org.'s in USA and they would've picked up on this story as well.
Now i'm not saying that this story is fake, but i'm not sure if its true.

Even if this particular stoty is not 100% true, but Im not surprised if something like this happened and is happening currently.
And information like this will not make it back to US shores. Since of course if you critique the war, you may hurt the soldiers fragile feelings on the issue. And we all know that is a no no. So to keep the precious soldiers ego's intact the US public must not develop any adverse opinion towards them. What a change from vietnam.

khanbabax - the same goes for the opposing side. People who want more fuel to fight ag/the US soldiers can also invent stories like this to incite the population.
Usually in any war, atrocities go both ways.
Has no one considered how the heck the US got into Iraq in the first place? It was by the help of muslims who were ag/ the Saddam Hussein regime. They couldn't get their way, so they risk the lives of fellow muslims to get him out of power. The result is in front of you.

For those who are doubting the authenticity of this news, figure out in your, a rough estimate of how many Iraqi bullets killed innocent Americans, how many Iraqis raped innocent American prepubescent girls, how many Iraqis are involved in torture such as Abu Ghraib...
Even if you think that the story is a lie, give me a rough estimate of how much of what Nadia speaks about, happens in real life given the thick, biased and one sided blanket of the media upon this entire genocidal attack upon a hapless population. Based on the miraculously leaked instances such as the Haditha massacre, how much do you think is happening?
And also cite the number of times it would take for something like what happened to Nadia for you to go 'Hmmm, this is bad...'

even if this particular story is not true..i'm sure there are plenty of women there who have been raped and abused and can never go back home and this all rings true for many many ppl.

Lajawab, no one is saying that for a non-muslim to rape a muslim woman is wrong, and its natural that this would not be well received by muslims around the world. But the fact remains is this: We can sit here and complain about the problem, or do something about it. I think our muslim population world-wide likes to complain about this stuff, and yet doesn't come up with good solutions to solve these problems.
There is a war going on in Iraq. People are dying. People are getting injured. And many of them are totally innocent and have done nothing wrong. What are Iraqis doing to give each other support in this time? Why did Nadia not go back to her family and why did she feel the need to go live somewhere anonymously so that her family can't even trace her?
Furthermore, why are there some Iraqis who are helping the American military to do these acts of atrocities?
We can point our fingers wherever, but when you point your finger, there are 4 pointing right back at you.

Very sad..truely depressing incident...but more depressing stuff is we dont have integrity..we still are in state of bloody war where we r just bothered to know if the story is fake or true.. i m sure there are hundreds of more stories like nadia who never come in front of us..n if something comes around we start scruitinising its truth..com' on whats wrong with muslim world.. why we r so helpless and hopeless today..why we are back in everything like economic development, in education, in leadership,,why dont we get some brains to understand the whole bloody stuff that is being against the muslims.. We cant blame America or Britain ,,I know weaknesses lies in oursleves..why it is so sad we muslims are called terrorist around the globe...why we dont have real peaceful identity of true muslims which is portrayed by Quran,,why we have few Usama type people who are creating wrong image of islam in the whole world.
Guys histroy shows that nations who forget their identity and who loose solidarity are always ruined like this..I watched little mosque on pierrie..i liked one dialogue of the Imam..where he says ' a perfect muslim decision no one is happy' that is very true..no one of us is happy.
I wish Allah gives right path to all muslims.

Before we get hysterical - lets think about this rationally. She is in a war situation, the americans are the winning agressor. She is one of the "spoils of war". The men/women who raped her maybe your neighbours etc.. How many of you can safely say that the people you intimately know would not take part in these acts if in such a situation. Rape is a primitive act of violence, force and power - where sex is TAKEN from a person. War requires that the soldiers act in a barbaric fashion re: killing other men ruthless and somewhat indiscriminatly. The enemy is objectified and dehumanised. This is what happens, this is what War means, this is how the women suffer - regardless of which nation is perpretrating and what time reference we are going by. Welcome to reality uff humanity.

I agree, the west is to blame no doubt, but we’re no better.
We don’t help our situation one bit..We’ve strayed far from the rehnuma and rahbar which God sent us: Al-Qur’aan Al-Kareem and instead we’ve started following man made religion which has caused us to be divided, so much so that even if we defeat outside enemies we’ll be fighting amongst ourselves because the very basis of our religions/the source is different for Sunni, Shiah, Sufi, Ismaeli, Bohra etc…

It is very sad but I dont think the entire story is true. Not to say that such thing never happend or a farcry from reality. Last year there was another case where some GIs were involved in raping a 14 years old Iraqi girl and killing her family. But in this case alot of what is told seems very exagerated, forcing emotions out of people. The writing itself is questionable.

It is sad but we can avoid such incidnets only and only if we become financially and miltarily strong, forget all the athnic and secetarian difference and unite the way Allah and Rasool want us to be.
