last i knew Gillani was PM and Zardari was President... and Supreme Court of Pakistan have fired Gillani not Zardari! Indian Media knows exactly what and where the terrorists dens are in Pakistan, they even manage to get video of terrorists making plans and training to attack India but they don't know whether Gillani was President or PM!!!
Should I blame them?
Re: Who will be the next PM?
^^ dont get carried away. You can blame me for the typo. its el prime minister instead of el presidente. ;(
btw SC didnt fire him, it just invalidated his qualification.
Re: Who will be the next PM?
what if Rehman Malik becomes the PM
btw sources pretty much confirm Makhdoom Shahbuddin for the slot ! Though this is the first time I am even hearing his name ![]()
Re: Who will be the next PM?
^ Rahman Malik needs to be a member of parliament, and then his senate
membership has just been invalidated by supreme court. Maybe they can go with apa firdous ashiq Awan instead? :)

ISLAMABAD: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has reportedly formed teams for arresting former health minister and a expected strong candidate for premiership Makhdoom Shahabuddin in ephedrine scandal.
According to reports, Makhdoom Shahabuddin has reportedly increased the ephedrine quota of two companies when he was health minister. The ANF has issued summoned notices to him for recording his statement before the investigation team led by Brig Fahim. However, according to reports, he never recorded his statement.
The ANP has devised strategy for the arrest of Shahabuddin who could be taken into custody any time.
Besides, Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar, Makhdoom Shahabuddin is a strong candidate for next prime minister to be elected on Friday.

Strong Candidates for PM seat
Ahmed Mukhtar
Ahmed Mukhtar, who was holding the power and water ministry before the cabinet was dissolved, is a strong candidate for the post of the prime minister.
Talking to the media on Tuesday, Mukhtar said that he had heard he was being made the prime minister.
Mukhtar was a strong candidate for the premiership after the PPP won the general election back in 2008, but could not make it to the top slot. Hailing from Gujrat district of central Punjab, Mukhtar is considered to be an arch-rival of the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) — the largest of PPP’s allied group. He won against PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain in 2008 in one of the most closely-fought contests.
Khursheed Shah
Religious Affairs Minister Khursheed Shah, a PPP diehard from its stronghold of Sindh, was also in the limelight for the top slot — with some officials claiming that he was being backed by a majority of the party. But the problem with Shah’s selection is that the PPP can not afford to give all the important slots to the same province.
**Sardar Mehtab Abbasi
**
Express News reported on Wednesday that Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to put forward Sardar Mehtab Abbasi’s name after consulting with the coalition parties.
The PML-N, which has been protesting against the ruling government, had earlier announced that it will not nominate any candidate for the post.
Makhdum Shahabuddin
Makhdum Shahabuddin, a PPP leader from southern Punjab, is also among the strongest candidates.
An insider had told The Express Tribune that Shahabuddin’s name had been finalised and none of the government allied groups raised any objections to it.

****MULTAN: Fiza Gilani, daughter of Yousaf Raza Gilani, might contest the by-elections for her father’s seat NA-151 Multan after his disqualification, Express News reported on Wednesday.
According to sources, the final decision regarding Fiza contesting the election has not been taken yet, but the issue is under consideration. Gilani has two other sons, Qadir Gilani who is an MPA from Rahim Yar Khan and Ali Musa Gilani who was also recently elected as an MNA on Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s seat.
The NA-151 seat was left vacant after the Supreme Court disqualified Gilani from the post of prime minister on Tuesday. He is ineligible to contest elections for five years.
Express News Multan bureau chief Shakeel Anjum reported that it is still unsure who will contest for the seat from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Sikandar Bosan, also contesting for the seat, had shifted his allegiance from Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), and the latter has decided to boycott the by-elections. However, Bosan told Express News that he will not leave the constituency empty and either he or his brother will contest the elections on the seat.
Malik Ishaq Bucha will also be contesting for the seat from PML-Nawaz.

Re: Who will be the next PM?
^ I am sure this either person is also more loyal to the party (lutto tey phutto party) than Pakistan or is illiterate and cannot write a letter.
Re: Who will be the next PM?
The thing remains to be seen is that will he be arrested by the ANF before being elected or afterwards. Considering the loadshedding in the country raja rental should have been the appropriate choice.
Re: Who will be the next PM?
MashaAllah to Zardari. He knows how to play around for sure. Knowing fully well that the ANF is after Makhdoom Shahabuddin, he has nominated him for the PM slot. If he becomes PM, he cannot be arrested, thanks to immunity. That will be a new low for our government, where both the PM and President are out of jail only because of immunity.
And the back up candidate is Raja Parvez Ashraf, the guy who was targeted for corruption in the rental power case. Cant blame PPP, as they have no clean person left behind.
