i have no love lost for Zia, but the history of Taleban as i read it is that it was formed in 1994 and by naseerullah babar. the diff groups of mujhaideen were infighting and it was naseerullah babar who created taleban, something he was proud of, calling then as 'my boys' and all. he even brokered the peace between taleban and variosu warlords which allowed taleban to become defact rulers of afghanistan.

I think Its high time for you to come to lahore and see right projection. Maybe things in karachi are projected the other way round. I just have that feeling that you have different source of media to rely on then me. Which is quite strange.

nope, mdrassas were there, and mujhaideen were created, funding from KSA, arms from USA, and expendible free soldiers from Pakistan, but these mujhaideen were fighting among themselves, naseerullah babar crafted taleban out of them.
