Who killed Husain RA?

Absolutely.

That was then. What matters is what people should do today. Among those is not to waste time and energy over these issues.

It will take some more time for people to grasp this. :Sighs:

Sahih Bukhari

Narrated Ibn Abi Nu’m: A person asked 'Abdullah bin 'Umar whether a Muslim could kill flies. I heard him saying (in reply). “The people of Iraq are asking about the killing of flies while they themselves murdered the son of the daughter of Allah’s Apostle . The Prophet said, They (i.e. Hasan and Husain) are my two sweet basils in this world.” (Book #57, Hadith #96)

Nah, Husain RA did not fight against the ruler Yazeed. He was going to Syria todeclare acceptance to his khilafa while Kufi stopped him in the way brutally killed him.

History: Ali RA made agreement with Muawiya RA in the tehkeem of Abu Musa Ashari RA that the khilafa would be shifting between these two families because Prophet Mohammad SAW said, “Khalifa should be from Quraish”.

That is why when Hasan RA took Khilafa after Ali RA death, Muawiyah RA asked him to transfer it to him. In the meanwhile, Khuwarij (the trouble seekers and makers) killed Hasan RA. So, after the death of Muawiyah RA, first Husain RA thought that it was his turn and Kufies provoked him to claim that. But later on he decided to keep Ummah united and to accept Yazeed’s khilafa. While he was going to Syria to declare his alliance, again those Kufi Khuwarij killed him on the way.

QUESTION: Dear sister, you didnt read the HADITH and hurried to post it.it didnt say that (Husain RA was going to accept his Khilafa and was martyred by Khuwarij Kufi Shias) secondly according to my resources, yazeed was in command of SHAM and IRAQ,then how can ppl of IRAQ killed a great personality like imam hussain a.s without came into know by yazeed as all the commanders who martyred imam hussain were under the rule of yazeed????

so there are 2 QUESTIONS i am asking you,ANSWER them to the satisfaction and please be straight forward.dont confuse us.ALL EYES ON YOU.

Re: Who killed Husain RA?

........?????

code bhai aap nay haqq ka jhanda baland kia hai !

I share with you the abhorance of muawiyah , however its not because of his cursing of ali b abitalib, or any ideological reasons ( like the twelvers do) but because this man changed the Sunnah of the prophet and the pious caliphs. His tyranny sets the precedent for all the dictatorships that were to follow.

btw the reasoning behind the cursing was not simply hatred of ali, but because his cursing served a convenient way of testing the loyalty of the supporters of ali who now had to live under muawiyah's regime.

Taking a hadith out of context is the classical way you people try to "debate"
This hadith at best just illustrates the frustration of abdullah b umar radiallahanhu at the killing of hussain b ali radiallahanhu.
if you look at his accusation, its merely directed at the people of iraq. This can include anyone who resided in iraq.Do we need to go through the list of the illustrious sahaba and tabaeen who lived in iraq at that time ? are you going to accuse them of collectively murdering hussain ?
