Ok... here's my definition of a match winner.
A person who performs well in important matches (semi-finals, finals etc) and helps the team win that match aswell. So for example, Shoaib Malik's century against hong kong wasn't a match wiinning performance because that match wasn't important, eventhough his score was by far the highest in the match. But his century against india was a match winning performance because that match was important and he was an integral part of the reason why pakistan won that day.

So its about innings ....... a match winner in one match can be a bafoon in next important match
