I HATE PPP but you cannot blame them for what’s going on, the tactics used by MQM since 1980 are unheard of in Pakistan and have caused civil strife in that city of which these killings are just a symptom of.

If you get down to it, all these killings represent a preliminary phase of a civil war in Karachi. It was never like this, and prior to 1980 the political forces in the city were largely peaceful. MQM has antagonized the population, created a culture of brutal-violence (burlap bags wali bodies and what not) to which the previously suppressed pol forces are now responding to.
