You don’t need a strong military to live peacefully and with dignity. Look at **Swiss **& Japanese.
Actually i love swiss model of government which is form of direct democracy, but can we wait 2000 years like swiss do?

Yeah but Swiss do not have ‘wonderful’ neighbours (incl. India and Afghanistan (can never trust them esp. the Afghan government)) like us. Japan is an island, so they do not really need a strong army
