how you want to look is a very personal thing and not everyone wants a full on made up look. i definitely prefer this kind of look - to look like yourself but at your most beautiful and glowing. and i don't think it's an easy look to achieve from a salon in pakistan, especially anywhere outside the big cities. they just don't understand why anyone would want this kind of makeup and i doubt they would even have the foundation colours to match enough skin colours as brides are 'supposed' to be ghostly white. and there are other problems, such as, many of these make-up 'artists' don't know anything beyond matching everything to the colour of the outfit. even if a bride does want a full on bridal look, there are other colour options that would probably compliment her outfit and features.
the good thing about this makeup is that you can do it yourself, providing you have the right stuff but it can be daunting if you don't know where to start.
suhaina - where do you live?
aishii - because your outfit has strong colours you don't want to go completely light - you would look washed out. i would go for a soft smoky eye but using muted browns and purples with good highlighting and then keeping the lips fairly neutral so it doesn't look overdone. my thoughts anyway!
^ yup, i agree. aishii you could do a smokey eye with shades of grey and purple and then do a toned-down mouth, maybe a tint instead of a full-on lipstick, or lipstick but blotted really well so its not overdone.
girls i like light and natural makeup!i dont like dark lips and heavy cake like base.see she is looking so nice and natural so wana know who dis her make up and i think its good to b look natural ,simple and gorgeous on your wedding day!
yes i agree with u.........who did that makeup? i think its great
the makeup does look nice..but it isn't "bridal" makeup to me..i could do it myself
yeah but there is no rocket science in bridal makeup or photographic makeup.....just some heavey base so that the pictures come out nice.....just no rocket science , i have learnt it so i know
wow beautiful! i wanted that subtle kind of makeup on my wedding…and i was literally screeming at the parlour to make my makeup subtle but in the end u know what those girls told me, "they said aap chup kar kay baith jaain warna mat karwaain makeup " hehehe…this was at madeehas salon in lahore…at taht time i had not done the makeup course other wise i would had done my makeup myself!
in pakistan they just dont care what the client wants and needs…they jsut do their job…what they are told to do! as a result, i hated my bridal makeup!
no seriously i still dont knw whts so special abt her make up..i agree any gud beautician wuld be able to do that
Guys believe me there is no ROCKET SCIENCE in a bridal makeup..........bridal makeup is all about heavy heavy base, thats all, the rest of the stuff is exactly the same..................no any beautician cannot do that.............a beautician who can do a makeup like that and make the face flawless can do that, and if she can do that then she can do any makeup..........
haahaha madeehas i think has some favourtism........i got really annoyed by her salon when i came out from there dressed as a bride, i mean the makeup wasnt bad, but it wasnt as i wanted it, subtle and beautiful!
i am guessing her makeup was done at madehas..since the background of her photo shoot is the same as my sister-in-laws pictures...she got hers done at madehas as well..
yeah but there is no rocket science in bridal makeup or photographic makeup.....just some heavey base so that the pictures come out nice.....just no rocket science , i have learnt it so i know
oh i know..i'm saying something completely diff :)
oh wow thanks stoppit and somegroovychick! that sounds gorjus...im so sad but i actually copied what u guys sed & will show it to my make up artist... thanks so much, i still love her make up! xx
The caked-on unblended "bridal" makeup is EASY to do as compared to the subtle/elegant makeup..such as this. It's more difficult to achieve a more natural look for a bride then it is to turn her into a mannequin!
problem is that palours dont listen clients but personally i like natural makeup with light base.when u ve falwless skin with fair colour then why u need 2 inch layer of base . bride doesnt mean 2 inch layer of base
