^ There is a lot of undeniable evidence in support of evolution. So we can be either like the catholic church of olden days trying to shut up people who are stating the truth or realize that our understanding of the word of God might've been wrong.
The Qur'an doesn't say that there was no life on earth before humans. As such there is room for guided evolution which patches up the differences between the traditional muslim view and the modern scientific view.
