I have never been attracted to goris...For one reason their lack of colour is a big turn off...As you would say, there's no 'masala' in their appearance...
On the other hand desans and Latinos are very appealing to me because of their dark aura...They have 'masala' in them and are not lacklustre in appearance...

In the eastern cultures women that had lighter skin color were those that took the veil and did not work in the fields(higher sociel status) so maybe that is why light color is so sought after

There are pills that change skin melonin. It’s most likely that he used pills rather than topical bleach creams. But supposedly there is ONE part of his body that has not changed color.

Saimanyc, I have heard about the pills and bleach but I don’t think either of them actually work. For 72 hours may be but after that everything comes back to one’s orginal skin color. I think Michael Jackson had surgery because If there was a cream or pill that would change a brown/ dark skin colour boy/girl, I am pretty sure we would all know what it is. LOL for the Michael Jackson reply.

das reich i think it was the elite class(that did not work and thus stayed outta the sun) that had the light skin and thus light skin was related to a well-cared for lifestyle as far as women were concerned. i know that this was the case for western societies....... and not the other way round that they were elite SO they had light skin and veiled themselves.....

Yes that is exactly what I meant sorry if I didnt express myself properly.But I think it was more true for eastern than western societies.The tropical sun in India or middleeast was probably much more severe than in europe.

I agree with the part that light color is sought after in our society but come on light skin colour has nothing to do with women who work or not. You can veil yourself all you want and still be dark & vise versa. Skin colour science is way too complicated than some of us might think.

listen buddy if a black women veils a white woman works in the field that is not going to make the black any whiter but the white will certainly tan though not become black.This part is obvious.
But if two women are of the same complexion(Indo-aryan or arab) one works in the fields the other stays at home who do you think is going to be darker???

Maybe not right now, but it certainly was the reasoning in the older days, that if you were light it meant you were able to stay indoors (women) or had a white-collar job (men).. and it was Western societies as well, same as a fat body was healthy and beautiful because it meant you were rich enough to afford food whereas nowadays overweight = poor and lazy
